Privacy Policy

KineMedics has been in business since 1997 and we have always taken our commitment to privacy seriously.

We all want to feel secure about the information that businesses collect and/or keep on file.

Because of this, KineMedics is vigilant about safeguarding the information that you provide to us. We do not sell or share any non-public personal data except as is required by law.

Certain information is requested by us to be able to serve your needs efficiently. For example, a valid credit card number is required to be kept on file for security purposes whenever rental transactions are initiated. This is due to the high value of the equipment in relation to the cost of any pre-paid monthly rentals. This information is not required once the rental equipment is returned to us and no outstanding amounts are owed.

Other data that may be retained in our secure protected computer files includes:

  • Name, address, phone/fax numbers, e-mail addresses
  • Information about your account history with us, including all invoicing and payment transactions
  • Information as it pertains to the type of equipment in your possession, such as make, model, serial numbers, type of accessories, etc.
  • Credit card information (number, expiry date, name).

The primary reason that all this data is collected is to allow our customers easy access to information, supplies, rental renewals and so on. This data allows us to fill orders in a timely manner with greater accuracy than if we had to re-enter personal information each time a transaction is processed.

Upon your request certain personal information will be permanently erased from our database, as long as enough historical transaction information is retained to allow us to properly meet the accounting requirements imposed by the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency and the medical device safety requirements of Health Canada. Customers are welcome to be in attendance at our offices to personally observe any such purging of data so they can be comfortable that all possible steps have been taken to ensure compliance.

Once such data elimination has been completed it may not be possible to continue to serve your needs with the same speed and accuracy as before, since updated information would again be required for any future business dealings.

If you have any questions concerning the KineMedics privacy policy, please do not hesitate to contact KineMedics directly.

Regards,

Mark Simonson
